What this preview stores

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, a salted password hash, and session records. We also store your saved homes, paper allocations, and homeowner inquiries. An inquiry includes the city, state, home type, your estimated current value, proposed asking valuation, mortgage balance, requested amount, and acknowledgement of the prelaunch status.

Please do not provide Social Security numbers, identity documents, bank information, a full home address, or other sensitive documents. This preview does not collect payment details or perform credit checks.

How the information is used

We use this data to operate your account, save your activity, make your inquiries available for product review, and protect the service against abuse. An inquiry does not guarantee a response, financing, or product availability. There are no automatic marketing emails in this release.

Storage and service providers

The application and database are hosted on Cloudflare. Authorized operators may access records for service administration and inquiry review. Operational logs and abuse-prevention records may include technical request information. Do not use this early product to store information you would not want included in an equity inquiry.

Cookies and tracking

A necessary, HttpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in. Signing out invalidates the session. This release does not include advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Home photographs are served from the application.

Your controls

From My Housepiece, you can export your account data, remove paper allocations, withdraw and delete inquiries, delete your account, and sign out. Open a saved home to remove it from your shortlist. Account deletion requires your password and permanently removes your profile, inquiries, saved homes, paper allocations, and sessions from the active database. Inquiries are removed automatically once they are more than 180 days old during the daily cleanup. Account data remains until you delete the account or the service is retired. Email-based password recovery is not yet available; keep your password safe. Provider backups and operational logs may remain for their provider retention periods.

Limits of this preview

Accounts are not identity-verified and cannot be used to transact. The service is intended for adults exploring the concept. No third-party advertising sale or data sharing integration is implemented.
